Goddess VoxBox

This blog post is going to be my review and personal opinion on products I received free for testing purposes from Influenster.com. This particular box is called the Goddess VoxBox.

Lets start with the Pantene Expert Intense Hydration shampoo and conditioner. Ive only actually used this product a few times so far but I am really liking it. I purposely waited to try it out until I colored my hair. I use the standard home hair color nothing fancy and it doesn't contain any special oils or anything to care for my hair. So of course the conditioner that comes with home hair color is to die for. Why they don't bottle this stuff for sale by itself boggles my mind. So my first wash after coloring always has my hair feeling like one giant clump while its wet. Even in the shower it feels so dry and wirey. This shampoo made my first wash much better. It really did hydrate my hair so it didn't feel like all my hair was a large clump of mess. The conditioner just set it off. It was almost like using the wonderful conditioner thats packaged in hair color. Long story short this stuff is amazing! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants soft hydrated hair! My only complaint would be the smell. Its not bad by any means but its just one I'm not to fond of. Its sweet smelling almost like brown sugar. I would have preferred just a "clean" scent over the sugar. But don't let that comment keep you from trying this out for yourself.

I also received Always Radiant with FlexFoam pads. These are for regular flow. The packaging claimed it holds 10 times its weight in fluid. The pads are thin and are winged. They are very comfortable to wear and you can truly wear what you want because there is no "bulk". I wished I would have had these in high school!! The packaging is cute, its multicolored with designs. I would also highly recommend this product.

Next up I received a SinfulColors nail polish. This is a brand I already own many bottles of nail polish from. The particular color I received is Cheshire China. Its beautiful pastel color. Mainly lavender with a hint of periwinkle. The finish is listed as a porcelain matte. Its truly a pretty color to wear. It looks very spring and summery to me. It goes on very opaque. Two coats is all you need. And of course if your not crazy about the matte finish you can add a top coat. The polish lasted a little over a week before I noticed any chipping. I use my hands alot at work and home so if it lasted a week thats awesome!! I usually don't like matte nails but this polish may have changed my mind. I'm anxious to try more colors from this Kylie Jenner line. I recommend all nail polishes from SinfulColors. Its such a great brand!

My favorite product to try out was the Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Alcohol-free Hydrating Toner. Its a daily step ive added to my morning and evening facial cleansing routine. It really is hydrating and cleans deep down. It does not dry my skin out like some toners that contain alcohol. It feels like your just swiping cold water on your face. And until you look at your cotton ball or cotton pad your using you will swear its not doing anything. In my evening routine I start with an oil cleanser that removes all my makeup. I follow that with a gentle scrub to get all the leftover oily residue off. Ive added the step of using the Dickinson Toner and i'm so glad I did! When I swipe the cotton ball around my face i'm still removing leftover dirt and "stuff" that I had thought was gone all this time! I shutter to think about all those nights previously that I had went straight to moisturizer after scrubbing without toning and not knowing all that stuff was still on my face and clogging my pores! Anyhow thats over now! I'm definetly going to continue to use this toner. It has made my skin texture and appearance a little better. It quickly toned down a few blemishes I had and some of my redness on my cheeks is more pink not red now. This is really some great stuff and priced well under $10 at most drug stores. I highly recommend this toner for sure!

I also received Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads. These are the best things since sliced bread! I've already blogged about this product when I received it in a different box several months ago. Check out my Glam VoxBox for full details. I will just mention that one pad removed the polish from all my fingers and toes. It removes it quickly and is not too drying. I highly recommend this product especially if your traveling or want to save money on cotton balls LOL!

The last product I received was Downy Fresh Protect with In-Wash Febreze Odor Defense. This product is meant to use during a wash cycle to keep your clothes smelling fresh for 24 hours while you wear them. Its those little pellets that you pour in the washer when you start the load. I've tried this type of product before from another brand and really was disappointed. This one really didn't impress me either. Sure it smells great coming out of your washer and when its dry you can still smell that its clean and slight fresh scent. But as I moved around in my clothes throughout the day I didn't notice any fresh out the dryer smell. Maybe I'm just not a fan of all this fancy stuff you put in your washer just to wash a load of clothes. Laundry soap and dryer sheets seem to do the trick for me. Now just so you don't start thinking you don't need to try this I would like to mention that my friend uses this type of product religiously. I'm going to have her try out these Downy ones and see what she thinks. I'll edit this post to update you with her opinion.

The last thing in the box was a 3x5 card for Ebates.com. I signed up for the first time and have made one purchase. I believe my savings was like $0.75. I'll just have to get myself into ordering more things online so I can take advantage of the rebates. I'm more of a go to the store and touch the product kind of person but I will try. Some of the other influensters mentioned they had been members of Ebates for many years and get regular checks from them with significant amounts. It may be something you want to look into!
